ACTIVITIES REPORT
My name is Donna-Marie Lane and I am the Activities Coordinator for Callander Care. My job is to provide activities for the residents of Ashlea, Mountview and Pinewood nursing homes. I visit each home every day throughout the week and provide a large variety of activities catering for the different needs of the residents.
Because of my regular daily visits, I am able to "get to know" each resident on a personal basis and spend quality time with them on a one to one, as well as involving them in group activities.
Some of my most popular group activities are:
Bingo, Beetledrive, General Knowledge quiz, Baking, Card Making, Light Exercise, Snuzzlin (Fibre Optic Light Show)
One to One with the residents involves activities such as:
Facials/ Face massage, Reminiscing, Manicures, Hand massage, Scrabble, Cards.
As well as my daily activities, I also arrange regular day trips out on our minibus. I also keep very busy organising annual events such as the Senior Olympic Sports Day and fund raising days such as Barbecues and Strawberry High Teas.
